Beyond accessibility, her early research interest, her interests involve HCI, usability, user interfaces. She has a deep knowledge in Web Accessibility related standards, international regulations, languages and technologies.
Patrizia considers accessibility as a starting point to develop an inclusive information society, accessibility is a mean to fight aganist digital divide. She considers essential to grant everyone equal access to the information, regardless of user and technologies, and thus she turned her attention to more socio-political issues, like information society, digital divide, e-demoracy and knowledge economy.
Technologies has a huge power to shape today's society, it's up to us to understand how technologies can improve our lives and use these technologies properly.
