In 2001, after a specialization course at UCSD (University of California San Diego) about Tv and Web convergence, she started dealing professionally with e-Accessibility: she takes part to different international Working Groups and research initiatives across Europe and US.
In 2004 she turned her attention to Digital television: she has been awarded with the e-Hungary scholarship and has been involved by ITTK (Internet Trend Research Institute) in Budapest, Hungary, as Research fellow in order to develop accessible DTT researches. She also conducted strategic researches for the ORTT, the Hungarian Broadcasting Association. Patrizia Bertini is a researcher for the EIAO (European Internet Accessibility Observatory) EU IST project.
